New Storage Requirements for FIRST® Lansoprazole
Azurity Pharmaceuticals would like to inform you of a change in the storage requirements for FIRST® Lansoprazole, which is manufactured by our company. Previously, FIRST® Lansoprazole was stored at room temperature prior to compounding, however, to extend the functional shelf life of the product it must now be stored at refrigerated conditions prior to compounding.
Effective immediately, all batches of FIRST® Lansoprazole must be stored refrigerated at a temperature of 2-8°C (36-46°F) prior to and after compounding. We have updated the product label to clearly indicate this new storage requirement, and we ask that you please ensure that all batches of FIRST® Lansoprazole are stored in accordance with these new instructions.
Please note, this change is to extend functional shelf life of new product shipped. Please refrigerate current inventory. Current inventory of product on hand meets USP requirements. Any current product in your inventory should remain active for purchase, reimbursements, chargebacks, etc. No returns will be accepted, as this refrigeration change is intended to improve the long-term stability of the product.
If you have any questions about the new storage requirements for FIRST® Lansoprazole, please do not hesitate to contact our Medical Information department at 1-800-461-7449. We are committed to providing high quality products, and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
